Geology

The license area is located in the northeast of the Alto Ligonha Pegmatite Province in northern Mozambique. Several artisanal mining sites have been identified from satellite imagery over three main areas within the license, two of which are close to previously mined pegmatite clusters, Piteia and Nahia-Iaia. Beryl and lithium minerals have been reported from the Piteia pegmatites, while Nahia-Iaia is recorded to contain beryl and columbite-tantalite series minerals.
