The license is located in the southwest of the Alto Ligonha Pegmatite Province in what is known as the Mugeba pegmatite field. A number of interpreted pegmatite clusters with possible artisanal workings, including the Murrule-Nigula cluster, are located within the license area. These have been reported to have occurrences of gem quality beryl, columbite-tantalite, tourmaline and rare-earth minerals
